So much depends on a pair of red-handled scissors

What could be noted here tonight?
Perhaps that is the most worthy note: a question that incites me to look, to listen, to open my heart to the infinite possibilities right here at my desk at this very hour, Sunday drifting nonchalantly toward Monday, a drizzle outside, me thinking of heading off to bed.
A question that incites me to widen my perspective: a pair of red-handled scissors in a jumble of pens, the distant roar of a plane overhead, everything depends on everything, everyone on everyone.

It’s not about trusting intuition or perception, really. It’s about not approaching life and the world from a place of separation.
How do we do that? We "question," that is we don’t cling to our ideas about how this person or this situation SHOULD be.

    No coöordinates?

How can we trust our thinking? Especialy our thinking: "lost before it began"?
How can we trust our intuition?
How can we trust our perception?

How can we have any notice of what is really there?
How can we be in touch?
    i don’t mean solid – i mean fluid even.
Or maybe i do mean solid?

The answer is question! What we usually think of as « knowing » – something more like a fixed solution to a problem to be resolved than a fluid response to fleeting conditions – is exactly what prevents us from experiencing « what is there » or « everything depends on everything. » Questioning pulls the rug out from under our under-standing. Questioning is like untying the boat from the dock and heading out to open sea; soon there’s no more land in sight…

"…Everything depends on everthing and everyone depends on everyone…"
    How can we know?
How can we know what is there?
