A busy week, following the « daily » news at home and abroad – pathetic governmental doings in France and the ongoing bloodbath in Libya.
Back to routine home life as the family returned from winter holidays in the mountains. Did my obligatory wage-earning stints for three days.
Was somewhat surprised to discover that the « structure » of previous week’s retreat was dearly missed at times during everyday activities. Also missed the regular contact with all the participants online and in person.
It felt like I had been painting all throughout the retreat, producing an array of canvases or one vast ongoing work in living color, and then this week had to put away my paints and clean the brushes, left to sketch once again with pen and ink. Nothing wrong with pen and ink. Just different than the bold spread of color, thickly in lush lines.
I feel what you mean Sensei.
i know that too.
The intensity of meeting – of connection – with ‘everyone’, just everryone so precious – the discoveries – the wondering – the LIFE in that.
i am a teacher –

but in fact –
we don’t …
