Born to be wild

It’s wild « out there » tonight, fierce, icy wind whipping up rain and rousing the trees.
Wild? As in out of control? Not tame? Free?
Reminds me of a Zen story:
A student asks a master: « All wild thoughts of mundane passions are hard to subdue; how can they be quieted? »
The master replies: « Thinking of trying to annihilate wild thoughts is also wild thought. Although wandering thoughts are originally nonexistent, they are produced by our own conception. »
Let’s just say we were born to be wild.

yes, know that song well from those days.
and it’s true, we are all "easy riders" — the song was the film’s soundtrack — and we are born to be wild.

reminds me of the song "born to be wild" a classic from the sixties

    Get your motor runnin’
    Head out on the highway
    Lookin’ for adventure
    And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin’ go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
    And explode into space

    I like smoke and lightning
    Heavy metal thunder
    Racin’ with the wind
And the feelin’ that I’m under
Yeah Darlin’ go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
    And explode into space

    Like a true nature’s child
We were born, born to be wild
    We can climb so high
    I never wanna die

    Born to be wild
    Born to be wild
