Fritz, may he go in peace

The partner of a longtime sangha friend died today in Amsterdam after a year of illness with cancer.
A ceremony for him tonight joins all of us, each individual participant, as one. We chant, bow, burn incense, realizing here and now together what is « beyond » words and understanding.
This is where we are not different one from the other. This is where we are unborn and undying.
Thus we accompany Fritz.
May he go in peace.

Of course, Bob and I can offer sympathy to any family that has undergone a death, especially that death we know best, death by cancer.

But, Amy, this is the first I’ve opened to your blog site here and I was very happy to read down through some recent words — especially Pacido Domingo and singing our way on …

Our family is fine. And I’m going to forward your web site to a friend in Los Angeles who has just returned from an Ashram and family in India.

All the best to you and family and Zen center,

    Charlotte
