Obama, the most perfect union

It’s a new day.
Can’t let this marvelous moment go by without a word or two.
Obama’s election brings tears of joy to my eyes in front of the computer at 5:30 a.m. My country’s capacity to reinvent itself by picking this wise and inspiring man to lead it moves me more than any political event ever has. Not one for nationalism, I am filled with pride for all that my country represents, its limitless possibilities, its desire to transcend differences to unite behind what is finest.
America’s dark years have darkened the world. Its policies of separation and exclusion have wrought untold harm and destruction, taking lives and leaving millions of others in disarray. My sadness and disgust had given rise to despair and a gnawing sense of powerlessness.
And then today America chose to say yes to unity and inclusion. Today, America chose to renew itself behind a man who embodies so perfectly the essence of oneness and diversity.
E pluribus unum indeed.
A more perfect union indeed.
Yes we can.
Indeed, here and now, yes we can.

It had to be him…..all along it just had to be him! Joy, refreshed hope, an honour to be alive today to witness this shift….

Interesting there are still political leaders who remember finance, economy etc… is there to serve the people, all living beings, nature instead of leading a decadent, completely desintegrated life of their own-
Instead of the life of people, all living beings, nature serving/sacrificed to decadent desintegrated financial "concepts".

Serving concepts ( allways based on fear) instead of life itself….

Tears for me to this morning… for the second time.
The first time was a few weeks ago when i heard a piece of a speach.

For tree days now I did burn candles for Obama.
There will be allways suffering in the world – since none of us is completely integrated. But I guess it is important we have wise leaders so suffering is not structural organised from above…

Although he has not the title – Obama to me is a priest in the essence of the word – to an extremely wide public: he awakens in so many this little flame of connection with oneness, union – in indeed diversity.

I burn another candle he will have more time for his mission than Martin Luther King…
may his insight be bigger than himself
may his words be bigger than himself
may his heart be bigger than himself
may his actions be bigger than himself
may he be stronger than himself

My wife stayed up and burned incense for Obama to become president of a country on the other side of the ocean.
I think that’s weird, but I do feel the same way.

And I couldn’t agree with you more.
