It’s all included (What comes to mind)

What comes to mind tonight is, « I don’t know what to say. »
Then again, that is always what comes to mind if I am honest, if I don’t grab hold of « I know what to say. »
Floating around, then, is a semblance of an answer to a perpetual question about the first Bodhisattava vow (« Sentient beings are numberless, I vow to save them. »):
« Salvation consists in the removal of ignorance, » I read yesterday.
This raises the obvious question: What is « removal »? And also: What is « ignorance »?
Rather than « removal » I think of it as « inclusion. » The « enlightenment » we are seeking is one that does not exclude « delusion. »
The compassion of the Bodhisattva is thus – all-inclusive. « Great, » or boundless, it makes no distinctions.
When it’s time to sleep, it’s time to sleep.
