Deep and wide, wide and deep

The cat came in with wet paws tonight while we ate a mushroom risotto for dinner with green beans on the side. I was happy being the cook.
Earlier, on the black t-shirt of the man at the dry-cleaners’: « Keep power. » I looked around as he wrapped my orange skirt, black jacket, gray sweater: What power might that be?
When later I go looking on the Internet for an interview with the singer/performance artist Laurie Anderson, I come upon a black screen proclaiming a protest against censorship. Good cause, but I would have preferred the interview.
I hear heels clacking in the street, heading home late. A voice murmurs, « OK. » Dust gathers on the lamp.
Every little thing is deep and wide, wide and deep.

The true mystery of the world
    is the visible
    not the unvisible.

there is something else about the radical.
    There is no coïncidense.
not that there is fate as if we are poor victims in a game –
We have responsability. We have a choise.
But stil there is no coïnsidense.
We mirror – project all things that are unfinnished
    until the work is done
We create ? reality – the radical
most of the time like an oldfashioned alarmclock that has been winded up once and simply has to wind off. The whole way back to zero. We can be there every second. We are there every second.
    Liberating zero.

everything is perfect as it is
    for it is –
    real –
    and there –
    radical
and gentle at the same time
for in a way we cannot make mistakes…

when i was a child in church they used to say
we were all embraced/secure in the palm of gods hand’
i liked thatone – not that i could imagine something with it – but thatone felt right at least.

when at 14 i didn’t want to go to church anymore – and i had big arguments with my parents about it
i used to quote out of sunday’s mass:
‘ by my guilt, by my guilt, by my great guilt’…
    and
‘lord i am not worthy that you come to me’
which drove especially my mother pretty crazy…

just only this is so healing: insight instead of guilt.

    better place it here:

the fact that ‘whatever’ is real-
    it is there
has something radical ( as in radix – the root of things)

what on earth should we invent, or want, to be more interesting – how could it ever be ‘more’ …. of something? – important – interesting – exciting?
i feel sometimes – and other times i feel different…

and opposite to the great works of art – where painters and sculptures have been seeking metaphores- to say a lot in one image –
very often my eye falls on very simple – every-day-life things or situations that are in fact so monumental metapphores of what is going on – that i continuly ask myself why on earth should we make art…

when we ‘are there’ – everything has something wide and deep –
